On offer is a comprehensive insight into the many contrasts of the cultural landscape, the living conditions and traditions in the Dolomites, as well as the grandiose landscape of the Dolomites - UNESCO World Heritage.

Discover the history and language of the Ladins in the museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor. A short walk takes you to the 700 years old Alfarëi farm in San Leonardo in Badia, where a guided tour is followed by a typical Ladinic lunch. Across passes steeped in history the excursion takes you on to the Three Peaks in the Val di Landro valley. After visiting the war cemetery Croda Bagnata you can discover all about the formation of the Dolomites in the Three Peaks nature reserve house.



Programme
  • From Dobbiaco via Brunico to San Martin de Tor
  • Visit to the museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor
  • Brief introduction into culture and language of the Ladines, followed by an individual museum tour (audio tour).
  • Brief walk to the Alfarëi farm/San Leonardo in Badia
  • Visit to the 700 years old Alfarëi farm with guided tour, followed by a typical local lunch
  • Drive across the historic Valparola pass and the Falzarego pass to
  • Cortina d’ Ampezzo and on to the Three Peaks in the Val di Landro.
  • Brief visit of the war cemetery Croda Bagnata
  • Visit to the Three Peaks nature reserve house with an introduction into the formation of the Dolomites (geology) and the beginnings of alpine sport.
