Lake Lago di Braies

One of the largest natural lakes in the Dolomites

Lake Lago di Braies in the Braies valley is one of the largest and deepest natural lakes in the Dolomites. Nestling in a lush green forest the lake enchants visitors with colours in all shades from green to blue. Nostalgic rowing boats invite you to boat trips in the summer. The lake is also the perfect starting point for walks and hikes. In winter skiing tours, snowshoe walks and cross country excursions start from here. Lake Lago di Braies is also the backdrop for the Italian television series “Un passo dal cielo”.
