HEUGABEL - farmers and handicraft tradition
The autumn is associated with old traditions which are maintained with great care. For example San Candido welcomes the autumn in a special way and celebrates the gifts of the nature with a properly party. The "Heugabel" is an initiative in which a craft and farmers market (10th and 11th September 2022) is organized.
Even this special name of the initiative describes the fall in one word: The word HAY (Heu) stands for all the products of the farmers and therefore serves as a synonym for the farmers market. The word FORK (Gabel) stands for the culinary specialties that are served after harvesting in San Candido.
