Skiing in Sesto:

Skiing holiday in the Sesto Dolomites

The winter season 2014/15 sees another two attractions for skiers in Sesto:
  • The dream has become true! The skiing areas Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa offer a ski and lift connection across the Orto del Toro. From now on you can freely switch between the two skiing mountains. With the new pistes the Three Peaks Dolomites ski resort offers 91 km of varied pistes with stunning views in the heart of the Dolomites.

  • Comprehensive access to over 200 km of pistes in the Dolomites! From Sesto take the cable car to Monte Elmo and then continue on skis to Versciaco. There, at the new station Versciaco/Monte Elmo, board the Ski Val Pusteria express train and continue to Perca-Plan de Corones (Ried) where the revolving chair lift to the skiing mountain Plan de Corones starts. No cumbersome taking off of ski boots, no laborious car journey: from the piste on the train and from the train directly on the piste. For skiing fun in both skiing regions you need the combination ski ticket Sesto Dolomites and Plan de Corones or the ski pass Dolomiti Superski. You can obtain your train tickets free of charge from your host, provided they are members of the tourist association.

Tip for families: Children and beginners continue to practice perfect turns at the lifts in Waldheim in Sesto. As every winter, on the Croda Rossa South Tyrol’s largest family of snowmen, the reindeers and the toboggan run welcome you.

Highlight tour: Explore the Dolomites on the “Giro delle Cime”: Over 41 km of downhill runs with an altitude differential of 5,600 m. The tour takes you to the most impressive parts of the UNESCO World Heritage of the Dolomites and rewards you with unique views.

Skiing in the Dolomites: To be able to choose a different skiing area in the Dolomites every day (Sesto Dolomites, Plan de Corones, Cortina, Val Gardena, Alta Badia and others) we recommend the ski pass Dolomiti Superski covering 12 skiing areas and 1,200 km of pistes!
