All that keeps these pure white sculptures alive is the bitter cold. At night floodlighting creates amazing new effects.
30 artists from all over the world will put their skills on display in the intern. Snow Sculpturing Festival taking place at San Candido/Innichen and at San Vigilio di Marebbe/St. Vigil in Enneberg.

With the help of water and the freezing temperatures, fresh snow from the surroundings is packed to form giant cubes measuring 3x3x3 metres and placed at various points in the village.

By car: From the north (Innsbruck) or south (Verona-Bolzano): Exit the Brennero motorway at Bressanone/Brixen – Varna/Vahrn and drive in the direction of Brunico/Bruneck (road no. 49) and on to the two resorts. By rail and bus: Travelling along the Brennero railway, alight at Fortezza/Franzensfeste for the local Val Pusteria line (from the east, the line Graz-Lienz-San Candido/Innichen). The train stops at various stations, from where there is a bus service.
